The government of Quebec grants more than $97,000 to Cilex

Gatineau: September 5, 2017. – As part of the Quebec Start-Up Schemes, resulting from the Digital Economy Action Plan, the Government of Quebec is allocating $97,044 in financial assistance to the Cilex Technology Incubator set up by the Centre de recherche en technologies langagières (CRTL)/Language Technologies Research Center (LTRC) and located in Gatineau, for the realization of its project entitled Catalyzing the Creation and Growth of Start-Ups within Outaouais, and for the improvement of its annual programming which was unveiled today.

Maryse Gaudreault, Member of the National Assembly (MNA) for Hull, made the announcement today on behalf Dominique Anglade, Quebec ministère de l’Économie, de la Science et de l’Innovation and Minister Responsible for Digital Strategy.

This initiative – valued at nearly $62,000 – was selected during the call for projects launched in the fall of 2016 for Component 2 of the Quebec Start-Up Schemes which focuses on supporting incubators, business accelerators and university entrepreneurship centers. It aims to promote entrepreneurship within the Outaouais region, in particular through the organization of workshops and conferences, as well as to provide support, mentorship and incubation of young innovative companies. Coaching activities will also be offered to Start-Ups Companies to help them grow and improve their survival rate.
